George Soileau, a well respected businessman, worked for Coburn Supply from April 1965 until December 2009. He was with Coburn Supply for almost 45 years. His longest role at Coburn's was branch manager of the Opelousas store. However at his retirement in '09, he was a Vice President and General Manager of the Lafayette Region which included the branches in Opelousas, Eunice, Lafayette and New Iberia. George passed away November 1, 2014 at the age of 76.

The memorial roadway is on the Sunflower Road in Opelousas, Louisiana, where he built his home and lived since 1977. In the late 1980's or early 1990's the Wednesday night suppers for Coburn's customers and vendors began being hosted here in George's outdoor kitchen.
