Three Phase Voltage Imbalance

Three phase imbalance means the inconsistent sine wave amplitude of three phase voltage. Carefully measure the three incoming voltages on the load side of the contactor and key them into this calculator.On a three phase HVAC system, the imbalance should not exceed certain manufacturers limitations. Typically 2.5% is an alert, while Ruud sets 3% as its maximum voltage imbalance limit.
